Frequently Asked Questions

HOW EARLY SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR CLASS?

Arrive at least 5-10 minutes before class. All group classes start promptly. For your 1st class, please arrive 15mins early and come upstairs to the studios to fill in an exercise questionnaire.

HOW DO I BOOK A CLASS?

Download the Mind Body app for iPhone and Android. You can use the your computer or theapp to book, waitlist, cancel or reschedule your classes. You can also view your schedule and purchase classes.

Please see the Mind Body “how to use” on our Timetable page

WHAT IF A CLASS IS FULL?

If a class is fully booked you can join the waitlist and receive an email & text notification once you’ve got in.

Ensure your mobile number is included on your profile page and you tick email/mobile notification. You can respond to the text with a Y to accept the spot or N to pass your spot onto the next person on the waitlist. This system works really well, just use the waitlist because you’ll most likely get in.

HOW DO I CANCEL A BOOKING?

You can freely cancel up to 6 hours prior to the class start time. If you cancel less than 6 hours before the start of class, this will count as a late-cancel.

If you late cancel or no-show, 3 times in a fortnight and are an unlimited client, you will have 1 day taken off your expiry date.

I’M NEW TO PILATES, andBARRE – WHERE SHOULD I START?

If you’re new Pilates, we recommend to try a mat class first. If you are new to Reformer, you will need to contact Tamara – 0405826272/tamara@pilatespointe.com.au to discuss needing a beginner reformer class or the possibility of joining a class on your 1st visit. This will depend on past exercise history, injuries etc

I HAVE/HAD A PAST INJURY, NIGGLES, ACHES AND PAINS

Please always let the instructor know at the beginning of class if there are any issues, even if they know about your injury, if it not feeling good that day. Let the instructor know if you have a past injury, have had surgery or if there is an area or exercise you need to avoid. They will make sure to give you alternatives during the class. If you have had an acute injury or have had surgery we recommend booking a 1-1 assessment for your first visit.

I’M PREGNANT

Even if you have just found out you are pregnant your instructor needs to know, it is important to let the instructor know prior to every class, even if you have told them before. Your information is completely confidential. Pregnant clients need to avoid activities where they might get too hot, lying on their back, inversions, heavy lifting and various other exercises. We recommend just participating in mat and reformer for the first trimester if you have had a consistent practice at our studio leading up to your pregnancy. 2nd /3rdtrimester, we recommend reformer(with modifcitaions)

IS THERE STUDIO ETIQUETTE?

If you need to leave a class early, please notify your instructor prior to class.

Please wipe down your yoga mats & reformer beds at the end of each class.

If you have any personal items such as a handbag, phone or shoes in class please store them to the side of the room on the shelving provided where no one can step on them.
